Storybook Studios Inverted Room Photoshoot - How We Did It

Surreal Inverted Room Photoshoot - How We Did It | Storybook Studios

The Inverted Room Photoshoot was a fun one! An accidental mistake turned into the perfect final touch.

We used a few simple props to bring the room to life. Including the picture frame โ€œwindowsโ€ and a small couch set on its side.

First, we laid the background paper on the floor, then a frame on top. Next- making the floor look as though itโ€™s standing, like a wall. STAY WITH ME!

I wanted them to look like they were coming out of the picture frame on the wall. I LOVE the really strange poses that we get through movement. I made them move fast enough to almost hit the โ€œwallโ€. The poses look SO cool and surreal.

AND THENโ€ฆa BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE happened while editing the photos. I started experimenting with a software that was supposed to cut the girls out. Instead, it only cut parts of them out. Now, it looked dark and ghostly.

I love how this photoshoot turned out - from the building process all the way to the final images.
