Back in 2019, Channel 13 News reached out to feature the Fearless Spirit Project. After getting approval from the parents, they joined us at one of our photoshoots. The reporter and cameraman were incredibly kind—they kept saying how refreshing it was to cover something positive.

I didn’t know the questions ahead of time, so I was pretty nervous. I was doing great… until Chenue (the reporter) asked why I do this—especially since I don’t have children of my own. That question got me. 😢

I shared that I have a niece and nephew whom I absolutely adore, and the thought of them ever feeling this way breaks my heart. That’s when the tears came. 😭 I swore I wasn’t going to cry—but here we are.
