Ysa is a military kid. So, when we were planning her senior photo shoot, the Battleship Wisconsin was mentioned. She wanted to celebrate her family's military background. PERFECT! I love the final image. I told her to run towards me...she did not question this...she just took off and looked like she was going to run me over! She looks like a superhero. She IS a SUPERHERO! She's not running from danger...she's running towards it. I love that she is not afraid to be exactly who she is. She is BOLD. She is CONFIDENT. She is on POWERFUL! She is on FIRE! That red lipstick and those boots...will stop you in your tracks! She is going to make her mark on this world....or at least take it head on...looking fab...with that red lipstick and those boots!

Ysa's name means "rainbow" in her father's native language of Chamorro. Her name is perfect for her because she is one of the most bold and colorful people that I've ever met. She is a big supporter of LGBT, BLM and human rights, all around. I love that she is so fearlessly passionate about all of these causes. Ysa is also a writer. She and her friends are collaboratively writing a novel. What a cool concept! They call their group "The Council". Our giant set of books were perfect for this!
