Meet the 2024 Fearless Spirit Model Crew

These are their stories.

Addelynn

Addelynn was very shy and self-conscious. She started to criticize her looks and focus on where she found faults 💔. Her mom wanted her to step out of her comfort zone and speak to more people. In the beginning, she barely spoke to me. Over time, she has transformed and become more of a social person, making new friends along the way. 📣 What Addelynn had to say about the Fearless Spirit experience: “I enjoyed the people and making friends on the crew ✨. Being on Fearless Spirit has helped me build my confidence 🌟💪. I will miss coming to the shoots once a month and getting to see Casey and my new friends 💖.” 📣 What Addelynn’s Mom had to say about the experience: “I’ve seen Addie grow more confident in herself. She loves seeing the product of the Fearless Spirit days 📸✨. Seeing her excited about photos of herself and knowing how much she loves them brings me joy 😊. The youth pastor at her church ⛪ stopped and told me how engaging Addie was last week —she was starting conversations, not just huddled in a corner waiting for people to talk to her 🌟❌! At the Fearless Spirit Fashion Show, I’ve never seen Addie so entranced with how great something was 🥹🌟 since she was 3 at Disney World!! She literally went to bed with her Fearless Spirit book, still with tears in her eyes 😭❤️!!! You have found an amazing way to help these girls 🌸🌟!!!

Allie

Allie had to move to a new middle school last year. It was a rough transition 😔. She had to try to make new friends in a school where everyone had grown up together. She felt excluded and alone 💔. She was bullied by someone in her class all year. She has come home crying on so many occasions. Allie loves sharks 🌊🦈. So, we did her photoshoot at the Virginia Aquarium 🐠. It was amazing. We spent the most time in the shark tank, of course 🦈❤️. 📣 What Allie’s Mom had to say about the Fearless Spirit experience: “I have seen Allie’s confidence grow since being in the program. She now sees her inner beauty 💖 as well as her outer beauty ✨. She has learned that it isn’t just her that has gone through bullying —many girls do at any given age. I hope she takes this amazing experience all in and remembers this as she grows older. Fearless Spirit has helped her realize: Who cares what people think?” 📣 What Allie had to say about the experience: “I enjoyed how much the model crew helped me build confidence after being bullied, and it made me feel better about myself 💕. I will miss seeing everyone 👭💖—I had a lot of fun with them. I’ve learned that I’m not the only one who goes through bullying and bad experiences, and it makes me feel better knowing that I’m not alone 🤝💖.”

Audrey

Audrey has a very strong sense of who she is 🌟. However, she does not move through the world with confidence. She has a speech processing delay, which makes the back-and-forth banter that is teen conversation challenging 🌀💬. As a result, she is very quiet and doesn’t often engage with her peers at school. As a military family, they move a lot, and it takes her a long time to warm up to and connect with other kids her age. She finds it easier to be on her own than in a social group 👥. She longs to connect with other kids 💕 but struggles with making it happen. Audrey is very thoughtful and doesn’t say anything she hasn’t thought out beforehand 🧠✨. Audrey loves books 📚, science, learning about new things (especially facts), and is a HUGE Pokemon fan ⚡🎮🐾. 📣 What Audrey had to say about the experience:
“Audrey enjoyed getting to make connections with others. She’s been able to see herself in so many different ways 🪞🌟. She said she can now allow herself to let her walls down without worrying that she’s being judged 🙌💖.” 📣 What Audrey’s Mom had to say about the Fearless Spirit experience:
“Since participating in Fearless, we have seen an increase in Audrey’s confidence 💪🌟 and poise 💃✨. She has increased confidence in building friendships. Audrey has really enjoyed connecting and making friends with the other girls in a safe, supportive space.

Cali

Cali lost her lively spirit and confidence in herself 💔🌪️. She has not had an easy childhood. She was moved around a lot 🚚📦 and switched schools multiple times, which made her an easy target for bullying. Cali has been bullied multiple times 💔. She has been pushed, scratched, called names, excluded, etc. She has had to change classes, seats on the bus, and has stopped hanging out with neighborhood kids 🏘️💔. A group of her former friends would call her names every chance they got. Cali was afraid to try new things, talk to new people, or even order her own food 🍔❌. One of my favorite things about Cali is that she always wants to hear stories 📖✨. At every photoshoot 📸, she would ask me to tell her stories about my life and even about who my celebrity crush is. 📣 What Cali’s Mom had to say about the experience: “Since joining the Fearless Spirit group, she has grown into a beautiful young teenager 🌸💖. She has more confidence in herself 🌟💪 and is a much happier person. She is still working on some of her insecurities, such as not being afraid to do things by herself. She has enjoyed being part of this year’s crew, and I hope the confidence and lessons she has learned will stick with her for the rest of her life 🌟📖. She is a beautiful person inside and out, and I love seeing her grow 🌱🌸.” 📣 What Cali had to say about the experience: Cali enjoyed how fun the model crew was. The Fearless Spirit experience really boosted her confidence 🌟. Before, she had problems talking to people because it was scary, but now, even though she is still a bit nervous 😬, she can talk to people without overthinking it ✨. Cali said she will miss Casey the most ❤️👩‍🏫.

Chloe

🌸 Chloe struggled with social anxiety and felt like she didn’t have many friends. She lacked confidence in a lot of areas and used to be afraid of everything 😰. They left her last school 🏫❌ due to a bullying issue. They also had a bully in the neighborhood. For Chloe’s photoshoot 📸, we used Taylor Swift sheet music 🎶✨ falling around her. Chloe is a Taylor Swift fan 🎤❤️—Swifty to the core! She literally knows every word to every song 📝🎵. The Fearless Spirit Fashion Show dresses 👗✨ are selected based on the girls’ personality or style. Since Chloe is a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift, I found her a replica of one of Taylor Swift’s dresses. 📣 What her Mom had to say about the experience: “It’s been a wonderful few months watching Chloe realize her true inner and outer beauty 💖🌟. Middle school can be a challenging time for any tween/teen 😔📚, especially when you transfer to a new school with new kids. Fearless Spirit has helped Chloe in so many ways ✨. Meeting new friends 👭, of course, is always a highlight for any experience. These girls and Ms. Casey 👩‍🏫💖 have helped Chloe see that she truly is beautiful, funny, smart, and cared for 🌸✨. Chloe was able to walk into eighth grade this year with more confidence 💪 and self-appreciation 💖, and we couldn’t be more grateful 🙏.” 📣 What Chloe had to say about the experience: “I enjoyed hanging out with everybody 👫💖 and having fun doing the photoshoots with them 📸✨. The crew boosted my confidence 🌟 and made me feel pretty 💕. I will miss hanging out with them 💖.”

Katie

Katie’s mom’s biggest concern was Katie’s lack of self-esteem. “She thought that she didn’t matter, that she’s ugly, that nobody really likes her, and that leads to giving up easily in school, dance, etc. She is very emotionally intelligent 🧠💖 and sweet." There have been boys who have bullied her at school, calling her names. She is self-conscious about her body. She has pectus excavatum, which causes her sternum to push in and gives her poor posture 😞. She’s beautiful 💖, but she thinks she’s ugly. 🗣️What Katie’s Mom had to say about the Fearless Spirit experience: “Katie has grown and changed so much since starting the Fearless Spirit Model Crew ✨📸. I remember the first time we looked at the pictures from the shoot, and she said that she didn’t like any of them 😟. Then little by little, she would help me go through to pick out ones she liked 🌟 She’s also more confident in being her true self 🦋💪. I love the bond she’s created with the girls in the group 🤝💖 and how much she looks forward to the Fearless Fridays and Sunday shoots. These are things I knew she was capable of, but the environment and Casey’s support really helped to bring them out 💕.” 🗣️ What Katie had to say about the experience: “I enjoyed that I made so many new, good friends 👫💖 that will last a while. The experience helped me realize what a truly beautiful person I am, inside and out. I will miss coming here every week and getting to be in a room full of people I trust 🤗 and who have helped to boost my confidence over the past many months. I will also miss Casey ❤️. I learned that I am brave 🦸‍♀️, strong 💪, and a beautiful person 💖, even if I don’t realize it sometimes.”

Madelyn

Last year was filled with challenges and struggles 😔💔 for Madelyn. She was bullied so badly that they had to pull her from her public school and send her to private school. A group of kids told her to unalive* herself 💔, saying they all decided the “best way” for her to do it was to h*ng herself. This took a deep toll on her self-esteem and made her question her worth. She even started to believe the world might just be better off without her 😞💭. Madelyn was self-conscious about her height and was afraid of putting herself out there, fearing rejection. It has taken her a while to understand that being her authentic self 🦋✨ is a non-negotiable, regardless of how others receive her 🌟. Before starting the Fearless Spirit Model Crew 📸✨, Madelyn felt like she hadn’t found her “thing” yet 🤷‍♀️. Her sister had discovered horseback riding, but Madelyn hadn’t found her own focus yet. When I first met her, she saw the aerial silks 🪢 hanging up in the studio and was instantly interested in learning them. She said, “I want to fly!” 🦅💫 She also shared that she loves anything related to World War II 🌍✈️. So, I suggested we do her photoshoot at the Military Aviation Museum 🏛️✨ with (my favorite!) a P-40 Warhawk airplane 🛩️ with the cool shark teeth. It’s from World War II! Madelyn loved helping out during the model crew photoshoots 📷🤝. She would always leap up and say, “I’ll help!!” 💪✨. When we did a photoshoot with the aerial silks 🪢, she was so excited to show the girls how to do some aerial poses. She’s a natural! 🌟✨

Madie

Madie is a free spirit. ✨🌿🌸 I've been photographing her and her sister since they were little girls. 👯‍♀️ Her older sister is the more reserved and quiet (Love you Katelyn!!) and Madie has wide open energy! 😃 🎉I LOVE making her laugh and seeing her goofy side! 🤪   🦋🌈☀️ What Madie's Mom had to say about the experience: "Being a part of the Fearless Model Crew has been Madie's dream for four years. At that time, for her, the Crew represented inclusiveness and fun. Both are true, but what she's learned through the experience is it's also about being your authentic self, confidence and empowerment. With Casey's encouragement she's also learned it's okay to have a voice to offer suggestions and not be afraid to grab an idea and run with it. She's learned to be Fearless. 💕🪽"   🕊️💃🌌 What Madie had to say about the experience: "I enjoyed meeting all of the new people and taking cool photos because not everyone gets that experience and it was really fun. The experience has helped my confidence because it has shown me what I actually look like, rather than what I see in the mirror. I will miss being able to come here every month and hang out with my friends. I learned that I can do a lot more things than I thought I could."   Madie embraces freedom, adventure, and individuality. Madie is always willing to help and she has such a kind heart. She livens up any gathering and makes everyone have fun and feel included. 🫶

Piper

Piper was bullied in first grade and again in fourth grade 😔💔. The bullying in fourth grade was so severe that she developed PTSD and Depression. She went through another bully problem with a girl in her class last year. Piper was self-conscious about how tall and thin she is. She didn’t like her long arms and legs. She was afraid of new girls and being laughed at. What Piper’s Mom had to say about the experience: “The Fearless Spirit Modeling Crew ✨📸 offered Piper a truly unique opportunity to get to know a new group of girls and to grow her own self-confidence 🌟💪. This experience gave her a safe space 🛡️ to challenge herself, step outside her comfort zone, and embrace new friendships. Surrounded by like-minded girls, she discovered the strength that comes from mutual support and encouragement 🤗💫. Each interaction helped her build resilience and trust in her abilities, allowing her to shine in ways she hadn’t imagined ✨. By the end of her journey, Piper realized that true confidence comes from within and that taking chances leads to personal growth and empowerment 🌟🚀.” What Piper had to say about the experience: “I enjoyed the creativity in the model crew. The experience boosted my confidence and made me feel like I can express myself more. I will miss coming here and the walks to 7/11 🏪🥤, but I will also miss the spontaneity of coming in and being surprised with what shoot we were doing 🪄📸. I learned that I can model and that I can take good pictures 📷🌟.”

Zoey

Since hitting middle school, Zoey had developed anxiety and became depressed 😔💔. She didn’t seem to want to be creative with her clothing anymore and just wanted to blend in 🫥. She was very self-conscious about taking pictures 🚫📸. She had gone through some awful things with a couple of her friends talking about committing suic*de. 📣 What Zoey’s mom had to say about the Fearless Spirit experience: “Zoey loved being a part of Fearless Spirit and has made many sweet and awesome friends 💕✨. During Zoey’s time spent with Casey and her new friends, her self-confidence sky-rocketed 🚀🌟 and she became very talkative. She also used to hold getting her picture taken, in a negative light. Zoey tells me that now she doesn’t feel awkward or weird about it and that she actually likes getting her picture taken 🎉📷. She even asked for a digital camera for Christmas 🎄📸! Now, she is also more eager to talk to other peers in her classes. Zoey is not very emotional, but she will tear up 🥹❤️ thinking about her precious time with the model crew.” 📣 What Zoey had to say about the experience: “I enjoyed everything about the model crew ✨🎉. I liked the uniqueness of the photoshoots, and I liked being comfortable to talk to people. The experience has made me more confident in myself 🌟💪. It was a judgment-free environment, and I was very appreciative of that. I am going to miss the people a lot 🥹❤️.”

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

"Fearless spirit was such a great opportunity for my daughter. After her dog attack she was self conscious and didn’t see the beautiful person she is because of the scars on her face. Casey helped her build her confidence again and see past the scars. This experience has helped Lacey find herself again and she was able to see all the beauty she is." ~Lacey's Mom

"Fearless spirit helped me see me better than ever before. I joined fearless spirit thinking that I wasn’t as good as other girls. I'm so grateful I got to be part of this experience because it helped me in life so much. Casey lifted me up every time I saw her, constantly reminding me that I'm beautiful. She always made me laugh when I didn’t think I could. I will forever be thankful for the chance I had with fearless spirit and Casey."  ~Lacey
