Our Fearless Spirit sessions were born from the idea that we should all have a Fearless Spirit, be proud of who we are and no one should EVER be bullied. The photo shoots are made to show them how beautiful they are, because of their "flaws" and "quirks", not despite them. If they are selected to be a part of the crew, they will get their own individual Fearless Spirit session! We will also do an amazing artistic photo shoot every month and the parents will be able to purchase the images at a discount. These are the ONLY discounts we offer all year long. Get more info and apply at the link below.
Just imagine...your child holding their head high and being proud of who they are. Just imagine what these portraits will say to them, when they see themselves looking AMAZING, on the wall, every day. It will say, "They are meant to be here and they are loved."
We are only accepting a select few to be a part of this program and we have some awesome ideas planned.
**Filling out this Fearless Spirit Model Crew application does NOT guarantee acceptance. If considered, you will be contacted by Storybook Studios to meet at the studio, where we will go over the details of the program. A parent or legal guardian is required to attend this meeting.
The Very First Fearless Spirit Model Crew Session
The video below is a "behind the scenes" video of the very first Fearless Spirit Model Crew session.
Some of these girl's were so shy they couldn't even speak to me, the first time that I met them.
I asked the girls what names or phrases that bullies called them. We wrote those words on them. I also asked them to pick out a temporary tattoo that they related to. We put the tattoo on them as well. My hair and makeup person called out sick an hour before the session. Which, actually, worked out perfect. I don't think they needed any makeup at all. I photographed them individually and at the end of each girl's turn, I asked her to wipe off the silly word or phrase they had been called...leaving the powerful and positive words on them. Powerful.
One Year Later...
This video is one year later. I concentrated on teaching these girls to be proud of who they were, even if others ridiculed them for it.
Amber was joked for being too tall...so, I made her even taller in these portraits.
Victoria was called "Good girl in a bad way" (Goody-Goody), so I made her look strong and powerful.
I photographed them, in front of hundreds of people, at a carnival. They weren't scared and not one of them cared what people thought of them. They came SO far. To stand up with their head held high and proud of all of the quirks and scars and ALL of things about them that had been ridiculed before. They OWNED it!
These girls changed my life.
